Honey Nut Cheerios Commercial

    This was the first major filming project I've ever completed. Looking back, I think there are many things I would do different but I think the overall product turned out well. 

     First of all, I learned how important it was to have a plan. It was very helpful to already know on the day I filmed, exactly what I was going to do in each film and what shots I wanted. It made the process run smoothly and quickly. I also learned how important it was to have steady hands. I underestimated how shaky some of the shots would turn out, and I ended up having to reshoot some of them. It was especially hard to keep the camera still while filming tracking shots. I also didn't think I would have to reshoot some of my scenes too many times, but I ended up having to reshoot some parts multiple times. 

    I also learned a lot about editing. While using the software I found a lot of shortcuts and commands that made the process go by faster. I also had to put in the music, and I hadn't thought it would be that hard to find a fitting background song. It ended up taking me almost half an hour to just find the song. Lastly, I had to cut down the clips, which was difficult. I had a lot of extra footage, and it took me a while to pick the exact clips I wanted. I also had to turn the audio of certain clips of so you would just hear the music, like for example when they were running, because the sounds of those clips were too loud and didn't go well with the music. Lastly, I added transitions and discovered that there were more options than I thought. I ended up picking the fade option because it looked the most natural and learned how to make it slower or faster, and shorter or longer. 

    At first, I thought this would be easy and all that went into it was coming up with an idea and then filming it. I soon realized this was not the case and a lot. more went into filming and producing the commercial, and I ended up learning a lot from this experience.
